- Provides oversite for systems engineering efforts pertaining to Configuration Management
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with various stakeholders by communicating project status, issues, and next steps
- Planning and organizing the delivery of Configuration Management contractual deliverables
- Monitors progress to help ensure configured releases are delivered in a timely manner and meet expectations
- Helps define exact content and roll out plan for a release, aligned with change management processes
- Helps identify all applicable stakeholders per release, notifies, communicates, and manages expectations as required during the planning and roll out of new releases
- Hosts weekly Change Control Board (CCB) meetings and reports minutes, per contractual requirements
- Reports CM metrics in quarterly Program Management Review (PMR) meetings
- Responsible for aligning with the integrated master schedule (IMS)
- Ensures programs adhere with the Configuration Management Plan
- BSME or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of PDM/PLM systems configuration management, Teamcenter, Windchill, SAP
- Ability to coordinate processes and procedures documentation and training of Configuration Management criteria
- Familiarity with military specifications and standards, MIL-STD-31000
- Familiarity with SAE standards for vehicle Design, and Configuration Management SAE EIA-649-1A
- Configuration Data Management (CDM) certification preferred
- Ability to estimate cost for Configuration Management meetings, CCB, and contractual deliverables
- Ability to task and monitor progress of Configuration Management deliverables
- Broad military vehicle packaging and integration experience including HFE, Powertrain, Chassis, Armor, Body, Electrical
- Serve as an interface and point of contact with Government program authorities, for contractual requirements
- Acts as primary liaison between program leadership and other functional groups and resolves issues regarding configuration management
- US Security Clearance is preferred
- Sight: must be able to regularly read computer screen, reports, and various documents with detail and clarity to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner, including regular use of adequate close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Hearing: must be able to regularly hear well enough to communicate
- Physical Location:This position operates between an office and manufacturing plant environment and is often assigned to a specific shift or hours. The Employee must be able to perform job functions in an environment with varying difficult work conditions such as extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, and/or while exposed to constant/intermittent loud noises
- Teamwork: This position will work with others to ensure efficiency in the workplace
- Listening Skills:This position will need to understand how to use machinery properly and safely to prevent accidents and ensure all tasks are completed accurately
- Ability to follow instructions:Managers assign tasks and responsibilities, which vary; this position should be able to follow instructions competently
- Methodical approach:Production lines follow a set process, so this position needs a methodical approach to ensure all tasks are completed in the correct order for a smooth-running production line
- Concentration: This position may perform the same or similar tasks repeatedly, so a strong level of concentration when carrying out these tasks is important for quality control purposes. This role is often fast paced, so being able to maintain focus at all times is important
