General Summary
The Sales and Business Development Manager is key in driving growth and success at Muniweb. This position is responsible for increasing sales, expanding product offerings, and improving profitability by identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and securing government website development projects. The ideal candidate will also take the initiative to develop new ideas for products and services to enhance Muniweb’s offerings.

Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for current and prospective clients.
  • Build and manage strong client relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop pricing strategies for potential projects in collaboration with the development team.
  • Write compelling sales proposals and present customized solutions to clients.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase Muniweb’s offerings.
  • Effectively promote Muniweb’s products and services to potential customers.
  • Take the initiative to develop and propose new ideas for products and services to expand Muniweb’s portfolio.

Governmental RFP Management

  • Identify website development Requests for Proposals (RFPs) through RFP services and online searches.
  • Review and evaluate RFPs to determine feasibility and fit for response.
  • Draft and submit well-structured RFP proposals, ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Collaborate with the development team to determine appropriate pricing for proposals.
  • Track submitted proposals and follow up to ensure timely responses.
  • Provide demonstrations and additional information as requested by potential clients.
  • Engage with inquiring organizations before submitting proposals to better understand their needs.

Administrative & CRM Management

  • Maintain and update all related sales and business development tools, including Salesforce, SharePoint, and Dropbox.
  • Respond to inquiries, ensuring excellent customer service and timely follow-up.
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management (preferably in the technology, digital services, and government sector).
  • Domain knowledge of municipalities' operations is desirable.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in client relationship management and consultative selling.
  • Ability to effectively promote digital products and services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of website development and digital services (preferred but not required).
